美國畫家 Charles Wysocki 1928年出生於底特律，自幼變立志成為畫家，細膩的筆觸融合鮮濃的色彩繪出了滿滿的童年幻想，退伍後進入Art Center就讀並結識從農場長大的妻子，農村的樸實、平易近人、舒服愉悅的自然意象更帶給他創作上源源不絕的靈感！而終其一生不斷作畫的Charles於2002年逝世，享年73歲。
他曾說過：『I hope my paintings revive pleasant thoughts of a bygone era andexpress a semblance of order and serenity that fills a need in this fast-changing world. I like to add a touch of humor into my work. I see life onthe lighter side, in much simpler and more basic forms." 』
意即Charles希望他的畫作能振奮人心表達愉悅，並在這快速轉動的世界中找回內心的平靜，樂觀的Charles 用輕鬆簡單且基本的心態生活著，並總能在畫作中帶上一絲幽默！今天，讓我們一起來欣賞Charles所繪畫的貓咪故事書吧！
